Summary
I was born in Flint, Michigan, but due to a minor miracle, my parents moved to sunny Los Angeles when I was two years old. My parents moved out to Thousand Oaks for me to attend high school. I did my undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University in beautiful Malibu. I finished college a year early, so rather than immediately attend medical school, I took a research position at a pharmaceutical company for two years. I then attended medical school in North Carolina. That was a great chance for me to live outside of Southern California in a very lush, four-season climate. I returned to Southern California for my residency in anesthesiology. I have been married for 25 years and have two children.
