Dean Hearne, MD

Dr. Hearne was extremely inattentive the entire appointment. The appointment was rushed, and he failed to address many of my concerns. I felt that he put no thought into his treatment decisions. Find another dermatologist!

Patient doctor. Answers all questions honestly. I appreciate his professionalism and work.

VERY nice staff and doctor. Answered questions and was very patient. Instructions were clear.

I went to Dr. Hearne to figure out why my body breaks out during spray tans. He asked why I was getting spray tans. Told him for beauty pageants. All he did was give a speech on why he thinks beauty pageants are bad for your mental health and how I'll have some kind of body image disorder from it. At that point I was done and didn't get an answer or diagnosis why most of my body breaks out from spray tanning. All he did offer was facial acne medication which wasn't my top priority.

This guy is a jerk!!! Terrible bedside manner! He did not take the time to listen to me and treated me very poorly. Do not go to him!!!!

Seen Hearne several times. Does not listen to or remember patients. After one appointment he nearly had me in tears. The next day his nurse called to appoligize for the way he treated me during the exam. On my last visit he asked me why I was on this certain medication? Hearne told me that drug was not normally prescribed for my type of skin condition. I told him he prescribed it, I didn't do myself. Neverless the med worked like a million dollars-- but Hearne seemed like he could care less. I don't need my hand held from a doc but this guy needs some help with his "bedside" manner. I'm looking for a new doc and would not recommend Hearne.

If you need your hand held or someone to listen to every other medical concern you have that is not skin related - than you better go elsewhere. If you want the best dermatologist at OSU - this is the doctor you want!

I waited for nearly an hour to see him for literally less than two minutes. He didn't even take the time to listen to why I was really there (an underlying problem) even when I tried to explain. I felt like I was driving through a fast food restaurant--you only get the time at the window and then you're off on your own!
