Dr. Dean Dearcas Leming, DDS

The VA set me up with this office to have some dental work. I had to wait 9 months for the initial appointment. Not very friendly, or compassionate to patient discomfort. The dentist actually complained I moved around too much during the extractions and was not happy with me expressing discomfort. So I had a death in the family and a severe migraine episode brought on by PTSD, so I had to re-schedule 2 appointments. After the second, they kicked me out and kept my denture without re-scheduling. They refused to let me have the denture even though the VA will pay for it and they know it. Maybe they are busy. Probably because they are in Tappahannock, not because they are any good. Horrible customer service, were they treated me like it was a gift from God to see them. They only bright spot was the DH, who helped out. She was really nice. The Receptionist, Dentist and Wife reminded me of Steve Martin in the little shop of Horrors. In closing, If you live in Essex county, take the drive… to see someone, who gives a crap about the patient experience, going to the Dentist is stressful enough without the people making the experience horrible.

Dr. Lemming was incredibly helpful and caring when I was in the area from Colorado for my sister's Memorial Service in Warsaw, Va. I broke part of a crown and tooth. I didn't know any dentist in the area but needed help immediately. Dr. Lemming graciously saw me promptly, ( the same day I called) explained what was going on with the tooth, and helped me tremendously! It is indeed rare to find such a Dentist in today's fast-paced $$$s driven world, esp. when you are a stranger in town at a difficult time in your life. I am extremely thankful for the help and compassion and expertise Dr. Lemming offered.

I think Dr. Leming is a great dentist, I would recommend him to anyone. Even though I recieved bad news, I still appreciated him being honest and friendly. His staff is also friendly.
