Dean Nakadate, DPM

With an extensive background in surgical and nonsurgical techniques, Dr. Dean Nakadate specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and ankle disorders. He believes in exploring all treatment options before resorting to surgery, striving to provide the best possible care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Dr. Nakadate’s expertise extends to patients of all ages, with a particular interest in diagnosing and treating pediatric foot and ankle disorders. Additionally, he brings extensive experience in utilizing custom orthotics to optimize treatment outcomes to The Center.
Driven by a passion for service, he chose a career in medicine after graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point and serving as an US Army infantry officer. Throughout his professional career, he has had numerous opportunities to teach residents and fellows, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience. In addition, he has held esteemed leadership positions in …prominent professional organizations, including the San Diego County Podiatric Medical Society (SDCPMS) and the California Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA).
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Nakadate actively engages in volunteering and coaching water polo. Serving as the development director for water polo in Oregon at the high school level, he is deeply committed to supporting aspiring athletes. He also enjoys taking his friends fly fishing any chance he gets.
