Dr Sands was born post WWII in upstate NY along with seven brothers and sisters. He came to California during the Vietnam War as a Navy Navigator on board nuclear submarines. He attended Foothill College for his A.A. degree, Stanford University for his Bachelor of Science, Long Island University C.W. for his Master of Science and then it was off to Dental School at Washington University where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine, DMD.
Dr Sands is a member of every major Association and Society in California dentistry including SDDS, CDA, ADA as well as being a Fellow of the SCAOP and the American College of Dentistry. He practiced with Public Health in San Bernardino County and had a private practice in Victorville. In 1991, Dr Sands moved to Placerville with his wife Jennifer and their son Ted. He loves dentistry and his patients, and he is proud of the multiple years he has won the 'Best Dentist of Eldorado County' award.
