Dr. Dean W. Smith

Dr Dean Smith is a brilliant, top-notch surgeon with exception skills and an amazing team of professionals working along side of him. A sufferer of Dupuytren’s contracture in both hands, Dr Smith walked me step by step through his processes explaining what he AND I would do to correct the situation. We were a team and I’m much better for it today!

What an outstanding doctor! I feel so lucky to have met Dr. Smith. After a reassuring consultation with him, I scheduled a needle aponeurotomy for a week or two later. The surgery was seamless and the results are so wonderful, it's almost hard to believe. I should mention that all of this came on the heels of a less-than-successful, painful, invasive surgery several years ago. I was skittish going in, but Dr. Smith restored the range of motion in my hand almost to its original, unimpaired state. I recommend Dr. Smith as highly as one can.

I saw Dr. Dean Smith for pain under a fingernail that was not properly diagnosed for 15+ years. Dr. Smith performed surgery and pain is gone. Dr. Smith and his staff are very knowledgeable and professional. I had an excellent experience.

I don't have enough wonderful words for Dr. Smith and his team! Dr. Smith performed ulnar nerve transposition surgery on my right elbow in Dec 2018 and on my left elbow 3 weeks ago (Jan 2019). I feel much better. He listened to all my concerns re: pain management, anesthesia, etc and addressed them all. He is the most gentle and caring surgeon that I have EVER had. His office staff are the bomb too and were always responsive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Smith to anyone that is having hand and, or elbow issues.

Dr. Smith runs a very efficient office and my hand operation went very well and I recovered beyond expectations. Never had to wait long in waiting room and he and his staff seem very competent. The procedure and recovery came out better than two previous operations on other fingers operated on by another leading surgeon.

Dr. Smith has been caring for my shoulder issues for several years now. We started with just minor surgery to remove arthritis and bone spur. He did find a partial rotator cuff tear but we opted to wait on that surgery. This minor fix lasted several years but finally it was time to do the more major repair. I have had a wonderful recovery from the rotator cuff surgery and have regained most of my range of motion due to the therapy that he ordered. I highly recommend him. His staff is also exceptional. They professional and caring.

Dr Smith was everything I was looking for in a doctor. The reason I was referred to him was that I was having shoulder pains. After X-rays and an MRI, and good news that he did not think my rotator cuff was torn, we tried injections. That did not help so we discussed and agreed to surgery for rotator cuff tendinitis, impingement sundrome of shoulder and osteoarthritis in the shoulder. After surgery and therapy I am much better. Due to my age, I will never be 100%, but I am happy with my surgery and progress. Dr Smith and his staff were always very kind and considerate, they answered any questions myself or family member had and were genuine concerned with me well being. If I needed to have another shoulder surgery, I would seek out Dr Smith.

I've been going to Dr. Smith for several years. He's amazing. He doesn't rush to surgery as the best option. Instead, he talks with you. Checks out the problem. Then he usually has options that you can decide on. Granted, in some cases, surgery might be the best option but it's nice to know if there might be others. His staff is great too. They are considerate & friendly. They always check up on you after surgery. If you call & leave a message, they return it quickly. I'm so lucky & happy to have Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith removed a large (and fortunately benign) tumor from my elbow. He is an excellent surgeon. I experienced essentially no post-surgical pain and I have the same full function of my arm and hand as I did before the surgery. Dr. Smith is personable and takes the time to answer all of your questions. His office staff is also wonderful. They are very well trained and coordinated. I highly recommend Dr. Smith.

I visited Dr. Smith with my 12 year old son. We were at an urgent care the previous night and they were not sure a fracture was present...they suggested we see an orthopedic. Dr. Smith's staff was pleasant and professional. Dr. Smith was able to confirm a wrist fracture and my son was placed in a cast for 3 weeks. I would recommend this office to everyone.
