THE BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY OF MY LIFE! I was a patient for well over a year, paying out of pocket for each visit. At no point in time did I get better, in fact I got worse and even tried to commit suicide! Finally I got fed up with her continuing to up the medicines that were making me feel bad in different ways and took matters into my own hands starting with a biological answer to my clinical depression. It took 2 weeks medical leave from work and daily dosages of Ativan to wean myself off of my antidepressant. I asked for a blood workup from my PCP and it revealed that I had about zero B12 in my body. Once that was straight I was feeling better but still not right and I just accepted the fact that I would just feel rotten forever. Then one day my dad called me and told me that the FDA had just issued an adverse reporting warning about an asthma medicine I was taking that was causing suicidal urges. I stopped taking it and within a few weeks I was back to normal. NOT ONCE… did she ever think to look at my body chemistry or medicines to see if there was an answer there as to why I had this treatment resistant depression. To think an MD would not think to do this... So disappointed for the time and money wasted and am GRATEFUL my suicide attempt was unsuccessful.

Dr. Botti is hands down the best Dr. I've ever seen, psychiatric or otherwise. Her diagnostic ability and accuracy far exceed her colleagues; her breadth of knowledge is impressive and not just limited to psychiatry. She continuous to keep abreast of the latest research and medical data and pairs her keen medical mind with an uncommon kindness and compassion. Unlike any doctor I've ever encountered, she listens to me and pays attention to insights I have, and she explains the nuances of why she believes a given course of treatment makes sense. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
