She refused to take me off a drug that was causing tradive dystonia claiming that it couldn’t be the drug and I was having seizures. So I go and get lots of tests done and meet with a neurologist. The first thing out of his mouth? If you are conscious, these are not seizures. He even watched me go into tremors and said “this is a classic movement disorder.” I went back to her with this info, she slightly lowered my dose but wouldn’t step me completely off the drug because she “didn’t have the time.” Then there was the time that I was hospitalized and no one could get in touch with her over a five day period. One of the docs said to me “if it wasn’t for the nurses waving for her existence, I would think you made this doc up.” A year later, all of the symptoms of the motion disorder came back and I had to leave me job because of it. The last apt I had with her? She had no clue whom I was because the system was down. I luckily sought of dr Brett Plyler whom helped me get off the drug… and on to different one. The tremors will still rear their ugly head in situations when I’m extremely anxious. I had an apt with a motion specialist whom essentially told me it was burned into my brain because I was kept on the drug. Unless you have basic needs, don’t see this doc because she said it herself “I don’t have time.”
