B. David Brent, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Opthomology and has special interests in vitreoretinal surgery and laser refractive surgery. He graduated from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio with honors and completed his internal medicine internship in Bexar County Hospital District, also in San Antonio. Dr. Brent received his opthalmology training at Tulane University School of Medicine, serving as Chief Resident in his last year. Subsequent to this training was a two year fellowship concentrating on the retina/vitreaous.

Throughout his career, Dr. Brent has had various teaching appointments, awards, and honors as well as a plethora of presentations and publications. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Opthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Opthalmology.

Office hours are M,Th,F, 8a.m.-5p.m.; T,W, 8a.m.-6p.m.; S, 9a.m.-12p.m. Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express are accepted; new patients welcome.

I had been to the corner emergency clinic out of convenience because my daughter had persistent cold symptoms that would not go away. I was very disappointed with the care I received from the nurse practitioner (I think). I don't even think there was a real doctor there. A friend recommended Dr. Countie so I went and was not disappointed! She was patient and thorough.... AND spent time with my daughter and I, She is a compassionate and knowledgeable professional! My daughter is much better now!

We LOVE Dr. Countie. She has been doctor to all 3 of my children for the last 6 years. Very smart, very helpful and totally down-to-earth. We drive about an hour just to see her - wouldn't consider looking for a new pediatrician.

We LOVE Dr. Countie. She has been doctor to all of my children for the last 8 years. She is a very pragmatic, smart, helpful and considerate. We drive for over an hour just to see her - wouldn't consider looking for a new pediatrician.

Dr Countie is by far my favorite pediatrician! Our baby recently had to be admitted to the ER by Dr Countie. I was so thankful for her. She called several times and followed up to check on the baby, and me for that matter.... it showed how caring she is. So nice....

It's been awhile since we brought our child back to Dr Countie. She changed her name from Bryant and first thought she left the practice. She is exceptional as usual. Our child sprained her wrist and Dr Countie put her to ease immediately. She is very thorough and detail oriented. I recommend her every chance I get.

I have taken both my daughters to her for about 7 years. Very smart and great manner dealing with patients. Listens to you and no talking down. Cautious and makes my kids feel comfortable. Love this doctor.

I had taken my son to see Dr Countie after several visits to our general practitioner and a local medical mediclinic because my son was having severe respitory problems. Finally Dr Countie saw him and prescribed an asthma treatment that has helped tremendously!

Dr Countie is a thorough and exceptional Doctor. I am a 2nd generation patient who saw her when I was a child and I now take my children to her. The children respond very well to her.
