Dr. Deborah Marie Hall, MD

I have been to Dr. Hall several times in the last few years, for check ups and such. Two weeks ago, after experiencing some social anxiety that I had a couple of times, I decided to go in and check my meds and to try to explain to her what they were like. I also was nervous and somewhat depressed and was crying right before she came in, something very unusual for me. When she entered and asked me to describe these episodes, I tried my best to do so. She then said crossly, "But you're not telling me anything. You aren't giving me anything to go on." I then tried to describe it again and she said, "But you aren't giving me any symptoms" and I tried again, after, I will say, I gave her a look of resentment, and somehow she understood I needed some advice, at least. She recommended blood work, and MRI of my head, a trip to a psychiatrist and a change of meds--the change is working for which I am grateful and decided to give her a fair instead of poor rating. I will not be going back… to her however.

Dr. Hall has been my doctor for a number of years off and on. I have returned to her when I found her again. At times she seems distant and uncaring, she is honest and to the point. She doesn't mince words or statements about medical facts. she tells you how it is. This can come off very rude and uncaring, but I can tell her heart is good. I recommend her to every person I know looking for a new doctor.

Dr. Hall looks at the facts, she does not jump to conclusions and does not order tests unless she feels they are truly needed. She diagnosed by husbands cancer at a very early stage and sent him to a specialist immediately. I was experiencing a problem with my legs and went to see her. She agreed that I shouldn't have this problem at my age. She said she would need to do a little research and would get in touch with me. Her nurse called the next day and had me scheduled to see a specialist. Other times, we discussed treatment options and worked together for the outcomes. I do not trust doctors easily but I do trust her.

Her bedside manner is very, very poor. Extremely rude to staff and patients alike. She took it upon herself to order tests that I had refused then threw a fit when I was a no show for them. Her office had my phone number listed incorrectly not only once but twice. Complete strangers were getting messages about my private medical information. I had a serious problem one time ( short of an ER visit though)she told me the soonest I could get in would be a month and a half. I got the problem resolved via my local urgent care and she threw another fit when I canceled her appointment. Take your chances if you wish, but I will never, never return to this smug greedy woman.

Dr. Hall was very abrupt and seemed to be on the defensive when presented with information that she apparently wasn't up-to-speed on. Immediately went on the kick that I might need to see a psychiatrist before even gathering information about family members for possible clues as to my pain. No bedside manner whatsoever.
