Dr. Deborah Klein Mague, MD

I saw Dr. Deborah Klein at Isles Group and had high hopes because her profile stated she has experience with chronic illness, but it did not meet my most basic expectations of a doctor. I actually have a COMPLAINTS about the service she provided: 1. NOT PERSON-CENTERED. Dr. Klein told me that I would be now scheduling my pap visits with her instead of with my gynecologist -- without asking me if it's ok with me. 2. ASKING ME TO DO HER JOB. She said it's too complicated to manage with all of my specialists, asked me to get "summaries" from all of my other specialist providers. I asked her if she would like me to transfer to her all of the records from my other providers and she said "no" and that she "doesn't have time for that" -- "just the summaries." 3. INITIAL REFUSAL TO ACCOMMODATE COMMUNICATION DISABILITY & DISRESPECTFUL. When I tried to clarify how she wanted to receive data, she cut me off, saying, "you've already used your 40 min, I have other patients to get to."… 4. INEXPERIENCED. She doesn't have any experience about working with people who are on Medicaid Waivers (I had to explain the form I had and how it's used), and I'm not interested in teaching her for free -- and at my expense. She doesn't seem to have any experience with one of my chronic illnesses either. Aside the fact that she filled out a form I needed, I felt this visit was a waste of my time. If I'd paid for it, I'd want my money back.

She's been my doctor for 13 years now and I can't think of a doctor who has been looking for the best results for me, and who truly takes the time to listen and support. The best GP I've ever had, here or in California.

I have seen Dr. Mague for about 8 years. She always takes the time to listen to my concerns, and does a good job explains things I donâ??t understand. I trust her, and feel good about having her as my primary care physician.

Seemed more concerned about impressing me with what she knew about various medications and less concerned with getting to know me and my philosophy of my own health care. I won't be going back.
