Dr. Deborah Lee Marynak

Wow! I worked for Dr. Marynak, and there are some things I could say here. First, she always gave patients ALL their options for the issue for which they presented to our office. She fully explains all the benefits, risks, and alternatives to their concerns and the patient chooses which option they want. She always pressed that orthodontics was the best option for closing spaces, but 9 times out of 10 patients go with the cheapest option. I never saw her alter tooth structure to close a space with composite; if someone did that when the fills were redone, that's on them. She hasn't had a dog in the office since about 2001-2002. It was her dog (always gated at the front desk unless the patient requested, he be let out) and her "boyfriend" was her husband and our office manager. I've never once heard her discuss how much money she makes from any procedure...ever. The only reason we would have sent your information to another dental office was because it was a specialist that you were… planning to see for an estimate of an alternate procedure. We really do have more to do that to have just randomly copy and send a referral. It's amazing how people can take issues out of context to suit their narrative.

I was in my 20's when I went to Dr. Marynak to have a cavity filled. I also had a small gap between my front teeth which would have been easily fixed with a retainer or invisalign, but she convinced me it would be a cheap solution to fill the gap in by grinding down the inner edges of my two front teeth and adding compound to the sides of the teeth thus making them larger. It wasn't a dramatic gap, in fact I think my smile looked prettier with it than with the result I got. Ever since, the compound (but not the real teeth) is stained and I've had to have them redone several times at great expense. 30 years have passed and still I regret letting Dr. Marynak do this to me.

Dr.Marynak has the kindest most gentle touch. Her experience makes her one of the best at all the procedures she performs. She's never judge mental about my poor hygiene yet let me know I need to work on it. I give her five stars.

Beautiful Dentistry in Minneapolis and Edina was a painful experience in my life. Doctor's boyfriend's dog in the treatment room, doctor gloating about the amount that would be made from treatments, and doctor sending my info on to another doctor, without my permission. I only learned of HIPAA a year later, but it was in effect at the time she did so. I'm still wary of dentists after her.
