Dr. Deborah Deweese Mcelfatrick

I had a horrible experience at this dentist. She claimed I needed work on teeth that had no issues based on two opinions from two different dentists. After drilling and filling my perfectly fine tooth. I spent two weeks with a swollen face which prompted me to see another dentist. The dentist had previously xrayed me three months ago(out of network, Out if pocket) said she can't understand why I had work done. So I changed my dentist and went to a third place that my insurance accepts. The second opinion mimicked the first opinion. When I went back to Dr. Deborah Mcelfayrick and questioned them why they worked on my perfectly fine tooth, and ask to be shown my xray, they went around the question and never gave me a straight answer. My new dentist removed the poorly filled tooth and adjusted it. I am finally starting to feel better. Before having any work done, have a second opinion and make sure you really need the work. For all my other teeth that Dr. Mcelfayrick claimed I need work,… my new dentist advised me that I should not have any more work done because I don't need it. Do your research before having Dr. MCELFAYRICK drill your teeth.

Had a 4 unit bridge put in and 4 months later one crown chipped.l She wouldn't replace it, and I didn't have $2,000 to pay for another one. I'm still walking around with a chipped crown in the front of my mouth.

Had her do crowns for me a few years ago and immediately complained to her of pain from crown like it was pinching my gum and she said I was crazy. How many years later I am still in the same pain. I cant get crown taken off and checked because I have no money. And the other 2 crowns she put in had to be replaced within a month. Also had a weird gum infection she couldnt do anything about for months after I started going there. I may have gotten it from there. Then I went to different dentist and he knew right away what was wrong. Gave me meds and it went away. Her chair side manner is not the best she acts like you are stupid and ignores you when you tell her something is not right.
