Dr. Deborah Marisa Mollo, MD

I have 3 children 2 boys and 1 daughter been seeing her for 17 years and would never change. She gives undivided attention she is very knowledgeable and knows my children and my preferences as a mother. The most thorough doctor I have ever met who is highly intelligent and takes her years of knowledge into practice. The only downfall is the wait time and this has been only since the change to Caremount Medical group. I just think they book to many appointments at one time. Telephone prompting is a bit slow, and wait times to speak to a nurse can be long.

The MKMG practice has serious issues with courtesy, customer service, the outdated environment and nurse surliness, but Dr. Mollo is fantastic. She always makes us feel as if our twins are the only ones in the building. Totally focused, calm, kind and knowledgable. Willing to go the extra mile in order to make them well, or get the right diagnosis. Often follows up on email or phone as well.

After many years, I would not choose Dr. Mollo today, although I have not moved on either. Partly because I like other aspects of the interconnected MKMG system. She isâ?¦ OK. There is nothing particularly personal or warm about her approach to patients or parents. You will never hear her use your name, for example. Getting through to her is a real problem if something unexpected comes up. Getting her to get back to you â?? â?? similarly, a problem. And I have never been a high-maintenance parent, or a parent with a child who has significant health issues. If she refers you on for an issue, she will be very happy never to hear from you again. She is a competent widget mover. Quite honestly, you can do better. But once you are invested in the system, it's hard to move on. Read a lot, talk to friends, and start elsewhere.

I have been taking our kids to Dr. Mollo for all of their general pediatric care for about seven years. First the positive: In our experience, Dr. Mollo is knowledgable and competent. Now the negative: While her manner is always appropriate (once you actually get in to see her), patients or parents hoping for real warmth or a relationship that deepens over time will be disappointed. The MKMG pediatric practice i Is a factory, and Dr. Mollo fits right into that "cruise control" model. Also, achieving contact can be hard, no matter what the problem. Would not choose her today.

Upon our first few visits with an infant we had a good experience with Dr. Mollo. My mother is a nurse who worked in pediatrics for many years and was concerned after visiting with us. There was very little time spend with us, and a full body exam of an infant was not performed. We had few concerns with our child's eyes and interactions as he reached the 5 month stage. We asked about milestones, eye contact and interaction and her diagnosis was he could have....Autism!!! remember, he was 5 months old... Our concerns grew, but were indeed real. He had seizures and was brought to NY Presbyterian. We called Dr. Mollo on our way to the hospital. She wished us good luck and that was the last we ever heard from her. Our son had brain surgery is 100% on the right developmental track. We moved doctors another local practice and they are thorough, pleasant and have great bedside manner. I would recommend against MKMG in efforts to not be just another patient as they are all… treated there.

Great doctor, but horrible practice. Once your child passes the newborn stage, you basically will have a 45 minute wait every single time you go. This means, that whether it's a wellness visit or a sick visit, your child will be waiting in a waiting room with other infected children. Then you typically have to wait another 10-20 minutes in the examination room. I wish that she was not in this practice because Dr. Mollo is wonderful, but MKMG pediatrics is horrible. It's not just her, the wait for all of the doctors is like this. It's awful.

She is acceptional, great bedside manners and listens well. Talks to my children with sensitivity.
