Dr. Deborah Anghesom Negusse, MD

Dr. Negusee is a good doctor but, unfortunately, cancels appointments and procedures last minute. I made my first appointment with her, and her office called and canceled it the day before. The office staff rescheduled my appointment, and on the morning of the appointment, someone called and canceled her appointment. It was not her office staff. They rescheduled the appointment, and I was able to see her on the third try. She scheduled a colonoscopy for me, and I asked her and her staff not to cancel the appointment because I had met my deductible for the year, and it was the last week of December. The day before the procedure, they called and canceled it. So, in summary, a friendly office staff but an unprofessional doctor. Just warning anyone that is trying to manage their time.

Dr. Negusse is great and very professional. I was seen right away and a week later, she did my procedure.

Outstanding doctor. Listens, cares, and takes her time with you. After my colonoscopy she thoroughly went over the results with me herself and answered all of my questions without rushing me. I trust Dr. Negusse with my GI needs and highly, highly recommend her.

I wanted to see a woman gastroenterologist because the men I have seen don’t listen, are dismissive and just want to prescribe drugs and get me out of their office. I only have an HMO so it took all kinds of finagling from my GP to get me authorized to see this doctor. The visit was pretty underwhelming. She took me in about 45 minutes after my appointment time. Front office is run by a bunch of girls that look to be about 20 and just wanted to talk and laugh with each other. I think they also run a day spa in the same office so that should have tipped me off that this may not be a very professional operation When she finally took me back, I told her I am overdue for a colonoscopy (have a history of polyps so I’m higher risk) and wanted to schedule an appointment to coincide with my vacation from work which was still a month away. During my visit she mostly wanted to talk about my reflux and what foods to stay away from. She prescribed Prilosec which is available over the counter. … She scheduled me for a recheck in 30 days and sent me on my way. She said she would need to send for my records at my previous gastroenterologist. She assured me that her office staff would follow up as soon as they obtained the records to schedule the colonoscopy. I never heard back from them once. I called so many times and got the same runaround that my previous Gastro had not yet sent over the records so they couldn’t schedule an appointment. They claim they had sent multiple faxes and made calls to his office to request them. They recommended that I go down and try to get them myself and hand carry them. Well, I work full time and that’s not feasible. They said they’d keep trying. Well a month past and I didn’t hear from them until the day before my scheduled appointment when they called to confirm. I mentioned that I never heard back from them about whether they had obtained my records and wasn’t happy. I didn’t really see a reason to come in if they hadn’t obtained those yet. The flakey receptionist said “oh, okay then” and hung up. That was the last I heard of them
