Dr. Deborah Mary Oconnell

I was "Blessed" as an Ultrasound Technololigst to assist Dr. O'Connel while working at a facility in Austin , TX. I, personnaly would highly recommend her expertice, as a physician when dealing with breast issues. She has put so many women at ease, ( even myself) with her expertice that if I needed a biopsy, or surgery... My trust in her opinion would make my life so much easier. She is a physician whom you can trust to be open, tel you the truth and explain what the future may hold for you!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr O'Connell to anyone who needs a radiologist. Luckily, the suspicious shadow on my mammogram turned out to be a benign cyst. But I appreciated the care and concern that I received from Dr O'Connell and the office staff during the further diagnostic testing that I received.

I was referred to Dr. O'Connell by my Gyno after she felt a lump in my left breast. The wait time for my mammogram was minimal. Dominique did the mammogram and is extremely friendly and patient. The mammo didn't hurt nearly as much as I had been warned, and I believe this was partly due to Dominique's patience and gentle nature. After the mammo they did an ultrasound and this was done by Sal. She is very thorough and explains what to expect, and also is very gentle. After the ultrasound was complete I met Dr. O'Connell who came in to look at the results. She is warm, friendly and makes you feel at ease. Because the results were suspicious, I was scheduled for a biopsy the next day. Sal went over exactly what is involved with the procedure and what I could expect. The biopsy was relatively painless (the only pain I felt was from them using the Lidocane to numb the area, and that was minimal). The biopsy itself was painless, and Dr. O'Connell explained what she was doing the whole time.… Her (and her staff's) bedside manner and patient care is excellent. She assured me she would call me the next afternoon with the results of the biopsy, and I actually got a call that AM. My sister had the exact same procedure and it took 2-3 weeks for her to get the results. Thankfully, everything was OK but I know that even if there was an issue Dr. O'Connell and her staff would give me the utmost care and attention. Being that this was my 1st experience with having a mammo or biopsy, their caring and calm demeanor made me feel at ease. I would recommend them above any place else to anyone I know who might need just a routine mammogram or any other procedures. I cannot thank them enough. If you are in need of any of the procedures the Women's Imaging Center performs, please do yourself a favor and go see Dr. O'Connell. They do a wonderful job and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Getting my mammogram here was like going to spa. I had no wait time; the staff was pleasant and respectful; the doctor was warm and informative.
