Goals would include short and long term goals to bring immediate and lasting relief; insight; behavioral and cognitive enhancement. There may be individuals who are eager to alter behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. There is a variety of methods to accomplish these goals that can be tailored specifically to the preferences of the client.
I have a family systems and social justice approach to therapy. I include familial and social systems influences on how one perceives self, others, and relationships. I invite an exploration of self and the impact power and oppression has on development and potential of actualizing one's best self.
I invite clients to connect with me to finally gain some resolve and advancement regarding life challenges. Patterns and themes in one's life are consistently reinforced through repeated thoughts; …feelings; and behaviors that support those patterns and themes.
