Dr. Deborah Lois Schroter, MD

Deborah did not do essential Lithium level tests. When I started my care with her, I had 2 conditions: bipolar and ms. After I left because she dismissed me as her patient for missing 2 appointments, I learned that I had Lithium toxicity. I now have 3 additional conditions: parathyroidism, nephrogenic diabetes insipidus, and kidney damage. Why are you still a doctor Deborah? Why haven't you switched to something mathematical like we discussed in one appointment? We never really discussed Lithium. You only told me to drink a lot of water. Were you preparing me for diabetes insipidus?

I have worked with Dr. Schroter for about 16 years...she has helped me greatly and has seen me in the best and worst of times....

Insightful and comprehensive

Over medicates. Wrong diagnosis given. Answers non-emergency phone calls during nearly every appointment. Office an utter disaster area, cleanliness wise. Consistently late for appointment times. Felt ignored when sharing my concerns.

Watch out for this prescriber. She will over medicate and persuade her patients into treatments that are unnecessary. She can be manipulative.

When I was a patient in St Raphael's not so very long ago, Dr. Shroter kept me in restraints numerous times for 24 hours at a time. She also had probate court force me to have electroshock treatments, which did not help, but only caused permanent brain damage. I now have epilepsy and suffer from memory loss that never went away. I have never forgotten the cruelty with which she treated me.

when i was in hospital of st. rafeals she told me once that i had what was called situational depression because of the problems i was going through at the time. and now that i see her point of view years later she hit right on the nose. i truely believe that through out my entire life of tragedies i suffered from situational depressions. if you read this Dr. Shroter i want to thank you so much for making me see that i really never had a chemical depression but situational and because of you instilling this belief in me i no longer suffer from this so-called depression. and because of all of this i no longer believe that chemical depression exists, but more situational. so, again thank you
