Dr. Deborah Watson, MD

Very disappointed with the overall experience and I was referred by a coworker. I was so put off that I sought a second opinion after seeing Dr Watson. Her recommended course of action would have likely required her to take cartilage from my ear to fix my septum. The recovery time was quoted at 1 month. The other doctor I saw said that taking cartilage from my ear was unnecessary and that similar results would be achievable without taking cartilage from my ear and my recovery time would be a week! Next Dr Watson was very eager to get the surgery scheduled asap and did not want to discuss billing or costs until after it was scheduled. Well when I received the bill for the initial consult, the price I was charged was more than triple the rate paid to the other doctor's initial consult (and Dr Watson was in network!). This is a prime example of why rates should be clearly published so patients aren't caught off guard by doctors contracted rates that vary immensely from provider to… provider.

Dr. Watson performed a septoplasty on me. She convinced me to get the procedure by saying it was a simple procedure. She did not warn me of any risks. 2 years later: my breathing is worse than ever, I have constant dry nose and crusting, and my nose is now permanently crooked and unnatural. I do not recommend a septoplasty unless you have serious issues; otherwise, it's not worth the risks.

Pleasant but cursory review of my serious sinus problem with no visual exam. I left unsatisfied, with a saline irrigator, LOL. Perhaps more interested in cosmetic surgery. Not recommended.

I went into the visit with a common problem seen by ENT physicians. It was clear her focus was on reconstructive or cosmetic procedures. Her fund of knowledge about a common ENT problem was extremely limited, her lack of curiosity, insight, and knowledge was disheartening. She did not consisder my other problems when she made her treatment recommendations. She failed to discuss with me pros and cons of alternatine treatment options. Her incompetence delayed my appropriate treatment and misery by months.

Dr. Deborah Watson is a truly gifted doctor and a surgeon whose skill is incomparable to others in the field. I came to her after having complications from a botched septo-rhinoplasty two years before, and she was nothing but immensely kind, understanding, helpful, and informative from diagnosis to the surgery and throughout the follow-up appointments thus far. My nose looks SO much better and I could not be any happier with her work. I can breathe better and she was able to revise the problems that another surgeon had left before. She is absolutely AMAZING and I would recommend her before any other surgeon to any person looking for high quality septoplasty or rhinoplasty from an empathetic, understanding, kind-hearted, infinitely wise, experienced, and TALENTED surgeon. She is one of a kind, and I am so happy that I was referred to her by my primary care physician. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
