Dr Weiss refuses to refill my prescription for the medicine that maintains my health because I can’t come in for my physical until December which is only six weeks away. She wants me to come in October and I have advised her office that I am unable to come in until December.. I ended up finding another Doctor who is willing to work with me?

Trying to locate where she moved her practice

Didn’t care about my concerns about mother’s health. Didn’t look at her blood work. Instead wrote out another script. Couldn’t take 5 minutes to look at recent blood work. Didn’t answer questions or even look at her history from a recent visit. Didn’t bother to come out to talk to me in waiting room after examination of mother. Lack of follow through. Doesn’t care at all. Will be finding another Dr for my mother. Just because your elderly doesn’t mean your health is less important or that you should be put out to pasture.

Dr Weiss was unwilling to help me with my anxiety issues. She made me feel as ifI was a drug addict rather than a 66 year old woman looking to take meds I have been on for years. She was cold , insensitive and did not help me find the care I needed.

My 91 year old mother has been seeing Dr. Weiss for number of years and her care for her patients has gone downhill. It took three weeks of constant phone calls from us and her drug store to get a prescription filled, she had to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room for a scheduled visit, when she finally saw the doctor she felt as though she was rushed through the physical. Her nurses comment to my mother was basically deal with it for see another doctor.

When I went to Dr. Weiss for the first time, I waited 1.5 hours. When she finally made it to my exam room, I thought she was personable and she seemed to know what she was talking about. It would turn out that things went downhill from there - I had to call her office several times for simple prescription refills that did not require a specialist. Lab test results also took months to get to me. When I followed up on any subject, I needed to do so every single day until someone finally called me back. This is not right and I was getting upset that my own GP did not care to respond to me. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives. I would seek medical attention elsewhere.

I called 4 or 5 times and was told by Mount Sinai switchboard, "Maybe you should call a few times per day to get through." When I finally had my appointment, I had to wait almost two hours with NO APOLOGY. Dr. Weiss looked at my chart and said there was a record of only 2 calls from me. I had two more experiences with poor communication (second time I called for days waiting for a prescription) Her office needs to have better communication for proper health care-

Takes time to understand your concerns and is a very good listener. Provides excellent feedback and suggestions in a very understandable manner. Great personal skills.

Very thorough. Cares about patient.

I have been with Dr. Weiss for 9 years. I would not see any other doctor. You do have to wait a long time but that is because she gives her patients the utmost attention.
