Dr. Deborah D Wilson, MD

I highly recommend Dr. Deborah Wilson & Associates. I went in for an annual exam and this practice saved my life. I found out at just 25 years old that I had ovarian cancer. They worked tirelessly, advocating for my health. If it wasn't for this practice, I wouldn't have been able to get the desperate and immediate care I needed in order to beat the cancer. Their expertise, dedication to women's health and networking throughout the healthcare community is a major asset for a patient's health.

Dr. Deborah Wilson is an amazingly skilled doctor that has provided excellent care to me over the years. I am not surprised she is continually ranked as a TopDoc by her peers.

Have been going to Dr. Wilson for over 10 years. She is an excellent surgeon and has helped me through many issues over the years. Caring, compassionate and just a great Doctor. Highly recommended!

As with a few other reviews, I felt like just another number and wish I had read them before going to this Drs office. After getting a hysterectomy I was having bladder issues. The coordinator suggested laser treatment and at NO TIME was I told that it wasn’t covered by my insurance. When I went for the treatment there was no documentation saying how much it was. Why would you recommend something that a person on Medicare couldn’t afford? I tried explaining this to them and was told it was MY fault for not asking about the cost! I am a breast cancer survivor and tried to explain that we are completely broke from all my treatments. I’ve been through a lot of doctors throughout my cancer treatment and NONE of them offered treatment I couldn’t afford and if there was a copay or deductible, they made sure I knew BEFORE the treatment! There was no empathy and was told that if I can’t make monthly credit card payments it was going to collections. I really feel like I was tricked or scammed … into a treatment that didn’t work and I couldn’t afford. If you are brave enough to go there-Be careful of everything they say and ask for copies of every single piece of paper you sign. For a business that is supposed to spealize in women’s care, there was ZERO care!

I have been a patient for well over a decade but have seen a nurse practioner, Peggy in the past. Peggy retired so for my last few visits I have dealt directly with Dr. Wilson. My appointments with Dr. Wilson are on the average more expensive than a typical routine exam. There seems to be additional charges for lab work, ultra sounds , and surgeries (to remove polyp ). I never really know what my bill will be until after the visit. In addition, she does not communicate with you what she is doing. She starts snipping away at a polyp without warning you what she is doing. I am most upset about being turned over to collections on a bill from a visit in May of 2015. I did not receive a bill in the mail (though I did receive a summary from my insurance provider) or a phone call. The bill was turned over to collections in October.

Dr. Wilson's staff is friendly for the most part. I really like Robin Parry, but Dr. Wilson's personality leaves a lot to be desired. I have a scheduled surgery coming up, but still have many unanswered questions, that she makes me feel like a moron for asking. Thank you to all who posted reviews, because like another patient, Dr. Wilson told me that I need a hysterectomy for small fibroids, because I'm not using my uterus anyway. I was appalled and didn't know what to say, and her comment has been bothering me ever since. It's reassuring to know that I'm not the only patient to whom she's said this. I believe I will be cancelling my surgery, and looking for a 2nd opinion!

Dr. Wilson is more interested in looking at her computer than interacting with patients. She briefly cracks a semi-smile when she enters the exam room then rarely looks at you again. There is NEVER an apology for you having to wait 60+ minutes to see her either. She did a rectocele repair surgery on me that failed within the year and then had the audacity to blame the failure on ME! Now, after consults with five other surgeons, I finally believe the failure had nothing to do with me but instead it was Dr. Wilson who failed. The last surgeon I met with last week told me she has another patient who was blamed by Dr. Wilson as the reason for her rectocele repair failing. Do not believe her when she tells you that she has the best rectocele repair rate in the COUNTRY! Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction of her office so you can find a more qualified surgeon who actually has integrity and will not blame YOU for her failure.

Charged for exams that were not completed. Did not explain anything to me. Spent maybe 5mins with me and only question obtaining to my health was 'are your parents both healthy'? Been going here for years and it just gets worse and worse. I will never return! Not to mention the horror stories I have heard from a few friends that I unfortunately sent here.

I have found Dr Wilson to be pleasant and thorough in her care. Except for one appointment, she has always been very punctual. She is friendly and takes time to answer my questions. Her nurse Grace is always very polite. The front office staff are adequate, but not terrific.
