Dr. Debra Ann Ferman, MD

This doctor seems very on edge all the time. Her own staff seems scared to approach her for anything. She gets frustrated very easily and will raise her voice if you as a patient, ask her something. I was worried if the cancer would return and asked if I was going to receive another kind of treatment since the taxol was crippling me. She comes out of her mouth and tell me: “Just accept that we did all we could!” She basically sentenced me to death, I had to change her fast to save my own life! Saying something like this to a cancer patient is unacceptable! I went from a stage 0 to a stage 1 real quick under her care. She was often pushy when it came down to getting other unnecessary treatments like radiation. I had to have told her no, about a million times and she keep on pushing! I am currently seeing a highly trained oncologist with NY Langone Hospital and he told me that radiation was unnecessary. She wanted to line her Christmas pockets with the blood of my life! Be warned!

Dr. D. Ferman treated my husband for almost 5 years until she relocated. She was extremely thorough & always got back to you no matter what time ...

Doc. Ferman gave me about an hour and change upon my first appt with her. She was extremely warm and welcoming and listened intently. I love her bedside manner and her caring nature. She explained my issues until I understood them thoroughly as well as answered all my questions. She is no longer at the practice where I met her and I am at a loss for a good doctor as herself.

Dr Ferman treated me for about 3-4 years. I had a serious condition that required a transplant. Dr. Ferman noted issues that even the transplant specialist missed. She is an outstanding physician -- calm, cool, extremely thorough, gentle, mature, nice, informal, etc. Whowever left her poor reviews must be delusional. I am sorry she is taking a sabbatical or whatever in 2010. She is irreplaceable.
