Dr. Debora Veronica Whitehurst-Brown, MD

Dr. Brown delivered my 2nd child by c-section in 2020. I was in my 40th week and she decided that I needed to be induced. The baby didn't take well to the medications so a c-section needed to be done. She was very matter of fact and seemed cold. Fast forward to 2022, I was seeing her at my last OB appointment for my 3rd child. I came in with contractions and told her that. She did my exam and told me that "my cervix isn't conducive to vaginal labor" and that she was scheduling a c-section for a week later. She didn't address the contractions I was having or mention that birth may be imminent. Not even 12 hours later, I showed up to the hospital with the baby in my arms. I had small tears from delivery so I needed to be sewn up. There was another doctor, I'm assuming a student, who was doing the work. I told them that I wanted medication because it was painful. Dr. Brown replied that I already did the "hard work, so what do I need meds for?" I got the medication, but she made it… difficult.

SHE decided she was going to disregard my other complaints and only dealt with one issue that she didnt even assess me for. Tried telling her that I have other issues she told me she will deal with them during my visit for annual exam, went on to say my visit was problem focused and my full assesment is due in 3 mths. I was so dismayed. I will never set my foot back into her office. All she did was look at me then write a prescription. I waited for almost 1hr and was seen for less than 5mins. Never again

Dr. Brown delivered my grandson Adrian Banks, she was so warm and nice. My daughter was so worried because she has had so many complications and once Dr. Brown step in the room, she made her feel like she had no worries in the world and that her baby was goi g to be fine. She was there the whole time and helped Bring my precious grand baby into this world. She was so encouraging And she gave hugs and just made you feel special and that’s what you need when you are going through birth. Thank you, Dr. Brown!!!!

Last year, I went to Dr. Brown and because of my age, I was disregarded, lied to, and dismissed. Instead the doctor made up her mind on what I should do which was contrary to what I came to her for as a patient. I ended up dropping the doctor in favor of a specialist that was knowledgeable. She got me in touch with a good surgeon and I am on my way to making a full recovery.

I value the way that Dr. Brown listens to my concerns and is able to answer any questions that I might have. No topic is too difficulty or embarrassing to discuss.

My son will be 8 next month. Dr. Brown was my OB/GYN. And she was AWESOME! I am now pregnant again. I don't think her practice takes my insurance. But I AM gonna do EVERYTHING I can to get back there so she can deliver my new baby.

She's an excellent doctor who answer all your questions fully but quickly. I have been going to her for about 7 years now, and Iwish I had found her years ago.

She is friendly and nice, provides you with information about your condition and what you need to do. Makes you feel comfortable asking questions. The wait time is long sometimes though. Otherwise, great staff and people.
