Dr. Dee Anna Glaser, MD

I left Dr. Glaser's office feeling worse about my face, myself, and my prospects of cosmetic treatments. An initial consultation costs about $100, for which an unfriendly RN photographed my face in a dimly lit room and Dr. Glaser spoke to me for under ten minutes about issues other than what I wanted to talk to her about. She triumphantly told me my acne scars were due to face picking, which I had already told her office, feeling guilt over this compulsion I've been working on and wanting to repair damage. She told me I should not touch my face, disregarding that I know this already; it felt a little like a shaming. She did not converse with me but seemed rushed and as if she was reciting things she tells a lot of people. She failed to address my primary worry, even though I explicitly mentioned it. She noted I could use fillers in facial lines, which I had up until that point not been too self-conscious about. She said I looked "tired." She prescribed an $100+ ointment, which I read… may worsen my primary concern. I did not get the impression Dr. Glaser cared to have met me or to see me again. The one positive aspect of the visit was that an RN who performed a laser treatment was friendly and answered my questions. I wish she worked at Wash U's office, where I plan to go for my next appointment.

Be careful here. Had appointment for Hyperhydrosis. Paid in full at time of visit. Later I was sent a $49 bill out of nowhere for services I did not receive. Stafff was unhelpful in resolving. Eventually they sent to collection and damaged my credit. Unwilling to settle (which I shouldn't have been willing to even do since it was their error but I just wanted to fix my credit). Anyway, I'm paying the collection agency but warning others. The treatment I received was ineffective and completed a bad experience from start to finish, although the Dr herself was very nice at the time of visit.

Dr Glaser is a wonderful and caring physician. She has taken great interest in managing my hyperhidrosis. I'd easily recommend her to anyone suffering from excessive sweating.
