Dr. Deepak Pottayil Thomas, MD

Dr. Thomas inserted a coronary stent. I underwent the procedure without any relief from medications. I tried to explain that my mother also had difficulty finding relief from some meds but that I understood i would be asleep and not be in pain. i was told to stop talking. The pain was torturous and all I could do was cry and uncontrollably shake. He may be good at what he does but not sure it outweighs the pain. I have major anxiety when awake and nightmares now when I try to sleep. Good instead of poor rating as I'm hoping stent is a success guess time will tell.

Took Wife there for Heart issues had High BP and SOB this guy just increase medication, and the ER refer her to him and requested to do Cardiac Cath and he blew this off and Wife had a Heart Attack the very next week, and had one the year before all had do was look at her History in the Patient MCV records unprofessionable he is not professional he needs to go back to school and learn what to do in matters like this the Heart is Life or Death....I seen him when Wife was at MCV Cardiac Floor 10th Jul 2018 and he seen me and I was looking at him and want to get in his Face....and him and his Buddy took the stairs...he need to listen to recommendation by ER and others Doctors and don't take things as if he know what someone feel and I just like to talk to him in Private....

Went to him for pre op for tonsil removal because I have afib. This was the first time I have seen him. He seems okay but some of the stuff he went over with me DID NOT pertain to the reason I was there. To my surprise he billed for the stuff not pertaining to the visit. I will not see him again. I have no use for a doctor who tries to get as much money out of you as they can.

Dr. Thomas is an excellent physician who treated me well and explained my medical options clearly without medical jargon. He has a warm disposition and I really felt like he was on my team! Since I started seeing him my whole family does now, and we've all been very happy.
