Dr. Deepan Selvadurai, MD

DO NOT SEE DR. DEEPAN SELVADURAI. I would leave 0 stars if that was an option here. My father, 66 years old, went to this doctor for cataract surgery months ago. Dr. Deepan Selvadurai put in the completely WRONG lens (making my fathers vision very limited for his needs) and refuses to even take my father’s calls to fix his mistake, which he has admitted to. Understandably, my father does not want this doctor to operate on him ever again. He is simply seeking help to make the situation right (i.e. offsetting the costs of him getting corrective surgery with a new doctor) and Dr. Deepan will not even do that much. This behavior is shameful and goes against any oath of ethics. Dr. Deepan should absolutely not be operating on patients with this demonstrated carelessness and disregard for patient care. My father is not well off, he lives alone, and is heart broken by this doctor’s admitted mistake and lack of empathy for the situation. Please see anyone else but him.

Better than all the rest...:). I was trying to find Dr’s new office and felt I should post a review for him... I heard that he is moving offices and I plan on following him... he is my favorite doc. He operated on my cataracts and did an amazing job. He is a talented surgeon and all my friends and family that see him absolutely love him. Good luck in your new office Dr S... see you soon:)

There are doctors that you see and you feel like you're just a timeslot on their schedule and those that you can talk to, they connect with you and they know their material! Dr. Selvadurai is all of the above. He recently operated on my eyes and this is the best I have seen since I was 10 years old. He took the time to explain things to me, he met with me the morning of my surgery, after the surgery and called me that evening personally to see how I was doing and answer any questions. I feel so grateful to have found him. If you look up his CV, he trained at the Mayo Clinic and attended some impressive schools. I feel so blessed to have him as my physician. Thank you Dr. Selvadurai. You are truly the best at what you do!

He always has a smile and put the biggest smile on my face after cataract surgery. I didn't realize how much my vision had slipped. Within a day of my surgery, I was seeing better than I had in years. Dr. Selvedurai took the time to call me after the surgery himself to see if I had any questions or concerns. I was recommended to him by a friend and I could not be happier. He is such a nice man and talented surgeon. I feel blessed to be his patient.

I am so grateful that I met Dr. Selvadurai. I was referred to Dr S by a friend of mine. I had laser cataract surgery last week on my first eye and just had my second eye done yesterday and I am 20/20 in both eyes 24 hours after surgery. It is the best vision I had since I was a kid. The surgery went very well. The staff at the surgery center were very kind and professional. I was comfortable during the procedure. Dr S called me personally the evenings after both surgeries to make sure I was doing well. I wish I had done this sooner and I am glad to have had Dr. Selvadurai as my surgeon. He is amazing and so gifted!

Starting at around age 70, nighttime driving had become an increasingly difficult and unwelcome task. My eyes had become extremely sensitive to oncoming vehicle headlights... even to the light emitted by correctly aligned headlights on a standard (low-beam) setting. To cope with this predicament, I purposely rotated my head toward the shoulder of the road, thus minimizing the time spent looking directly at the light sources; this action, however, also diverted my attention from vehicle traffic and possible obstacles on the road ahead. After discussing this untenable, high-risk situation with Dr. Selvadurai, I concurred with his recommendation to have laser cataract surgery on both of my eyes. The procedures he performed in Sept. 2018 have not only enabled me to drive confidently at night, but also restored my (distant) visual acuity to 20/20, far better than I had ever experienced while wearing corrective eyeglasses.

Dr Selvadurai operated on my eyes this past fall and I could not be happier. Dr Selvadurai and his staff were very professional. Dr was easy to talk to and I felt very confident going into surgery. The surgery center experience itself much better than what I had envisioned. Dr spoke to me before and after and he called me that night to see how I was doing. Dr Selvadurai was personally available for all my visits and I never had to see an optometrist or another doctor like some of my friends have had to do. My vision is the best it has ever been and now I only need glasses for reading sometimes. I am so grateful for what Dr. Selvaduri has given back to me. I would recommend Dr Selvadurai for cataract surgery and general eyecare without reservation.

This is the second time i write a review the first one was never posted.I wish all doctors were like him and had the caring and sound medical knowledge.Dr.Selvadurai makes one feel that he can be trusted and does not question his diagnosis.His bedside manners are excellent and he would recommend him to anybody who is looking for a good opthamologist

:Under the excellent care of Dr Deepan Selvadurai, it was determined that after fifteen years of being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and being treated with several medications and diet, I may possibly have a thyroid condition that is underlying my issues and to get it checked. I had an extraordinarily large parathyroid tumor, which was successfully removed and all symptoms disappeared, including the elevated blood sugars. He saved my life. My eyesight also improved significantly and now I only wear reading glasses for fine print. He is wonderful and kind and really cares about his patients.

He's great. We were seeing a "well known" doctor for a few years but after seeing Dr Selvadurai per the recommendation of my optometrist, I could not be happier. He is very thorough. He explained everything. We are very happy we made the switch!
