Dr. Deepti Suresh Moon, MD

Ms. Moon was a very nice individual, but she does not understand the fundamentals of even the most basic pharmacology. Ms. Moon diagnosed me with high blood pressure over diastolic readings that were typically in the 140 range. Ms. Moon was fully aware that I was taking loratadine and fluticasone nasal spray, both of which elevate blood pressure in most patients. Loratadine elevates blood pressure typically by 5-10 points. Clearly, if I were not taking those drugs, coupled with the fact that I was in an a very stressful environment, my blood pressure would not have been so high. Ms. Moon never once suggested that I abstain from taking these drugs nor did she mention that they elevate blood pressure. Even worse was that the medication she prescribed me actually elevated my blood pressure substantially. Any doctor should have known that a patient with my body type would not benefit from the use of water pills. The fact that Ms. Moon was ignorant of these basic facts and still… diagnosed me with high blood pressure makes me believe that I could never trust her diagnosis with anything more complicated or serious.
