To the person in the review above: It sounds like you were someone who wanted strong pain meds and when you didn’t get them, you got angry. This doctor is an emergency room doctor. He saved my life after I had been to several doctors and another emergency room. I was with him only for a few moments and was diagnosed. I went straight for emergency surgery. I was told by the surgeon if I had waited much longer, I wouldn’t have made it. It is because of him that I am alive today. I am sure he was simply letting you know that an emergency room is just that- a place for emergency situations. Chronic pain treatment isn’t considered a medical emergency. It is a condition that should be treated by someone with experience in pain management or liver disease. Tramadol is no more dangerous for your liver than any other pain medication. They can all be a problem with liver complications, and doctors have to weigh the negative and the positives and make a decision for the good of the patient. You… were probably one of those people that refused to leave unless they gave you something, and you listed a million reasons why you need something stronger than Tramadol. You shouldn’t base your opinion of an emergency room doctor on an event that WASN’T an emergency. That would be like me getting judged on teaching someone to ride a bike when I have never ridden one. They do not deal with chronic pain management, nor do they know your full medical history. They were trained to make fast decisions in very stressful situations in order to save lives. You probably should go to a regular family doctor or someone specializing in liver disease. I owe him my life, and I think he is a wonderful doctor. I hate the fact that someone put such a low star rating for simply prescribing medication when you were in pain. No pain medication in pill form is good for your liver. So, what did you want him to do? He probably gave you enough medication to get through the night and see a doctor the next day. I do know for sure that God placed him in that emergency room to save my life and the lives of others. He was not put there to provide a large quantity of pain medication. If not for him, I wouldn’t be watching my small children grow right now! Thank you.

saw him in Unity ER in Searcy AR and was given tramadol and i have Hep C...and i have polyps on both kidneys and peeing blood. Just arrived in Arkansas to stay with grandmother and he said they didnt treat chronic pain. Poor excuse for a dr...giving meds im not supposed to take.
