Dr. Delly Karin Alcantara-Cadillo, MD

Dr. Alcantara-Cadillo is far too immature and inexperienced to be making referrals and diagnoses on real patients. She talks incessantly and too fast which prevents the patient from telling her the purpose of the visit or correcting misinterpretations she expresses which is frequently. She had access to records from specialists I have seen and totally misconstrued them which alarms me because the purpose of this visit was only for her to refer me to another doctor in the same specialty as those I had seen previously. She was unable to make a valid diagnosis of anything she observed about me or thinks she saw in other doctors’ notes. Her demeanor was offensive.

Dr. Delly responds promptly to each of my email messages in a timely manner, providing me with the information I have requested. She has taken charge of my medical needs and concerns that my physicians outside of the VA system have ignored. I feel very well cared for and listened to. My wife is included as part of my medical team. I am appreciative of Dr. Delly and the VA team of health care providers.

Terrible bed side manners.

She is my primary doctor and would not recommend her to anyone. She is currently refusing to give me a referral to a specialist because, in her own words, she "doesn't believe" I have the need to see anyone else. I have lab results of bloodwork that give me reason to see a particular specialist and she did not even want to see them. Generally speaking, any of my appointment with her consisted of very brief interactions, as she does not take the time to listen to me describing my symptoms. Case in point, she misdiagnosed me for a condition I do not have, very quickly without any proof of her reasoning. Her egoistic and dismissive attitude adds to the feeling of being brushed off.
