Dr. Demequa Legail Moore, MD

I went to Dr. Moore for my 2nd pregnancy. I was particular about finding a competent, female African American OB. While the experience began quite well, it ended horribly. I was adamant about my doctor seeing me through to the birth. She did not. I asked her on several occasions if she will be delivering my baby. I understand sometimes doctors are called on an emergency, but I was making sure she would be the one to deliver. She assured me each time I asked. The day I was admitted and gave the admitting staff her name, they said she did not have privileges, which meant she COULD NOT deliver my baby. I was crushed. She could told me instead of being dishonest. I must say, the doctor who did deliver my baby was horrible. I still have complications at my incision site and it has been nearly 5 years. Texas Huguley Hospital is a horrible hospital and I regret my decision of having Dr. Moore as my doctor and Texas Huguley as my hospital choice. Not to mention, Dr. Moore did not discuss the… possible diagnosis of my son, who has dwarfism. This could have been diagnosed before birth. Worst doctor/hospital/birth experience I’ve had.

Dr. Moore spent a lot of time with me. She was patient and thoroughly informative regarding my quest to VBA2C, of which she was supportive. She even talked to my kids and sat there for a minute while my daughter (6yo) read a page to her from a book she'd brought.

I have 3 children and each one a different obgyn my last one was with Dr. Moore and she made my experience amazing. I had a very bad experience with my 2nd and had very high anxiety not to mention graves disease she took very good care of me!

I would rate Dr Moore 10 stars if I could. She is not only the best OB/GYN I have ever had, she is the best doctor I've ever had. She made me feel so comfortable about my first pregnancy. She is funny and reassuring and has an excellent bedside manner. I could not be happier with her level of care.

I did not like the car I received from this dr. She was not personable in anyway. I always felt very awkward when she came into the room, and hardly got any information on anything that was going on with my pregnancy.

They don't call back in case of an emergency. You have to keep calling them and they tell you to keep waiting for doctor Moore to call back.
