I would like to sincerely thank Dr. Demetri Merianos for his professionalism and compassion. He performed surgery on my 10-year-old daughter to repair an epigastric hernia, and everything went perfectly. Dr. Merianos was very kind, attentive, and took the time to explain everything in detail before and after the procedure. His calm and caring approach made us feel supported and reassured throughout the entire process. We are deeply grateful to him and highly recommend him to anyone in need of a skilled and compassionate surgeon.

He’s AMAZING. I’m the mom of a 15-year-old daughter who had a fibroadenoma removed in Nov. It was about 6 centimeters, so pretty large. My children are pretty self-sufficient, and she was able to run her own appt. I listen as she explained what she was feeling etc. I barely had to chime in. He covered it all. He made her feel so comfy. She has no problem saying she was def gonna remove it. She has a 2 pain level once she got home and only took pain meds for a day. That’s it. It looked so good even days later. The incision was CLEAN. I mean CLEAN. No black and blue marks nada. No oozing, no bleeding or discoloration. Only slept up in the living room for a few days to not lay on it. Surgery on Thursday and back to school on Monday in a soft bra, no underwire. Back to the seamless incision. He cut on the so you can’t see ANYTHING. The line is soooo thin I had to zoom in to see if he actually cut it at all. Wished he did adults. cause you see NOTHING. He told her if I was your dad I would… suggest you remove since I do these so often. Told her that may come back and just be on the look out. So at the post op appt he was super thorough and nailed everything. Always seen ASAP. Barely a wait. Just overall a super amazing experience, TRULY!

We couldn’t have asked for a better doctor to perform surgery on our infant daughter to resolve a hernia. Dr. Merianos was so kind and communicative. He explained the entire process, thoroughly answered all of our questions, and made himself available for any follow ups. I met Dr. D. Merianos on Monday June 5, 2023 in his Brooklyn office at 7th Avenue. I did not wait long to see him. His staff was very cordial, friendly. We spoke for about 45 minutes and he took his time to explain to me in great details the medical procedure is going to do for my son. He also told me the pro and cons of the procedure which I did not expect him to do. After the visit, I felt that my son is in very good hands

I’d recommend Dr. Merianos to any family/friends without hesitation. My son had his pulmonary sequestration surgery conducted by Dr. Merianos in Dec 2022 when he turned 1. Dr. Merianos was professional, courteous, patient and communicative since day one.
