Dr. Demitri Frederic Papolos, MD

Dr Papolos is our 5th psychiatrist and the one to finally have answers for our daughter. He's the first one that understands her condition better than I do. She's on the path to healing and I'm so thankful.

Dr. Papolos has done more for my son in 6 months than any other psychiatrists have done in 7 years. What I appreciate most is how he educates you on the reasons behind certain behaviors and symptoms, as well as on reasons for medications he suggests.

From my recent experience with dr papalos, he immediately asked me oddly specific questions grouping me with other teens with the intent to do research on us (most likely to write his next book, which he insisted we purchase). I had to have access to a bath/pool and need to live on a sort of schedule in his eyes. Immediately the “Vibe” was cold. The office called and sent many emails to us demanding payment even though I only had a free consultation with him. I called many other local doctors just to feel out other’s perception of him, and out of the four doctors I talked to, they did NOT advise his expertise. Although he may be a very smart man, he shot down every point I brought up from my own research. He made me feel stupid and as though I never had done research. He’s a doctor that is motivated by personal success, not the patient’s wellbeing. Don’t become a lab rat.

My daughter was seen by a number of other psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers - all who misdiagnosed her - before we found Dr. P. He has given my daughter her life back. We will be eternally grateful. Any annoyances in scheduling and other administrative tasks are really not that important when dealing with a doctor who really knows his stuff.

This man's research and insight saved our son's life.
