Dr. Denis Joseph Blais

I was a patient of Denis Blais for nearly thirty years. When I started going to him I was just about 40 years old. He saw me for twenty years and he biopsied my prostate, first 6 sample and then 12 samples. During those years my PSA had increased from just under 4 to almost 90, He continued to recommend a PSA screen each 6 months. Just after Denis retired in 2011, I was transferred to Dr.Steven Starr. Almost immediately Dr.Starr discovered prostate cancer and my Gleason score was 9 out of 10. In fact when he found it, the cancer was stage 4. I was treated with nine weeks of high level radiation along with 18 months of androgen deprivation. Just recently the physicians of Dana Farber declared my cancer gone. I widh I had known how incompetent South Shore Urology and its medical community (except Dr. Sergio Fefer) truly were. I would recommend any one who treats there (except with Dr.Fefer) TO STOP immediately. Having no treatment is better than negative treatment.
