Dr. Denise A Bongiovanni, DO

I made an appointment with Dr tonzola in Rockaway for mild seizures and somehow got his associate Denise Bogiovanni.I totally regret accepting to let her treat me.I previously was taking Keppra and she prescribed Lacosamide to replace the Keppra.I had perviously stopped driving prior to my appointment for safety reasons and she told me i should be able to drive in a few days.About 2 weeks later i received a letter from DMV my license was under review to be suspended indefinitely claiming they had received notification of my minor seizures.I definitely know it was her, because she is the only neurologist that i have been to that required my driving license information.Stay away from this woman,she is nothing but trouble.

She has no idea what she is doing with Botox. She Stabbed me all over my head with a large needle, which she was supposed to use a small needle. I was bleeding all over my head. I have blonde hair and I could see all the blood. I kept telling her she was hurting me. All she would say is we are almost done. Then she mopped the blood off my forehead and said come back in 3 months, She hit a nerve with the Botox which started a 29 day headache, I called and got her partner, He says just go to the ER and ask for morphine. And that was it. Like the ER just hands it out-mine does not. Then another ER trip, Dr Bongiovani soke to the ER Dr and said I wasn't her patient. Then she was like oh yeah she is. She just told the ER Dr to do whatever needs to be done to get rid of the headache and don't call her again that night. Now she wants a copay after I suffered for 29 days ER trips and copays, countless medications, missing work. I will be speaking to her office manager. I have… since found a new neurologist who knows how to inject Botox properly.

I've seen Dr. Bongiovanni for several years now. She has always taken the time to listen to me and tries to help based on my concerns.

Did not feel listened to. Did not get time to detail my symptoms. Did not feel convinced that diagnosis was correct because she did not elaborate and connect it to all my symptoms. Was told to take supplements and if I didn't feel better in a month to come back in for botox. I don't want botox if there isn't a convincing argument and other things haven't been ruled out. Also didn't feel office was professional and up to par with other specialists' facilities.

Stay far away from this practice. I called to find out services offered by this office & was yelled at loudly by office manager for asking questions after being told 2 different things by 2 workers. First review I’ve ever written because I was so appalled. Completely unprofessional!!!!!

Dr. B is a caring and thorough professional. She makes her patients feel at ease and is willing to spend whatever time is necessary to answer questions and provide a full diagnosis.

Absolutely amazing Dr. Spends needed time with patients. Very prompt, answers all questions asked!

Dr Bongiovanni treated me for complicated migraine headache. She was intelligent, thorough and thoughtful in her approach and easy to talk to. She took the time to follow up post visits for response and truly cared to see I was getting relief. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to friends or family, and already have!

She is the worst, most I'll tempered doctor I've ever seen. She is rude and an absolute detriment to this practice. She should have done something else with her life because she's certainly not suited to be a doctor.

She is rude. She doesn't listen to my questions, give me any options for treatments, and refuses to accept the possibility that it may not be what she says. I've never reviewed a doctor before, but her attitude was uncalled for. She sent me to the hospital for tests and pain relief, but dismissed the ER doctor by barely discussing with him, and she didn't follow up with me. Very upsetting.
