Not your typical Psychiatrist. Great doctor and person. Office staff extremely efficient and caring.

I have read some of these reviews on this site and completely disagree. I have been a patient of hers since she was at MSU. I made the choose to drive just so I could keep her as my doctor. She is very smart, accurate on her diagnosis, listens to me and doesn’t make me feel like I’m just a mental case. I am so happy with her as my doctor and wouldn’t trust any other with my mental health care. Her office is only open part time but I will tell you that she and her office manager are very prompt in getting something done for a patient during their business hours and are always so nice and do their best to accommodate my needs!

They do not try to accommodate patient needs whatsoever. Staff is also very rude and unprofessional. This is nothing more than a very expensive drug dealer.

Dr. Handelsman knows how to diagnose extremely well. She really helped me.

Terrible patient care. Dr. H couldn't accommodate my needs as a patient. The office staff is also unhelpful at best. Seek care elsewhere, you'll be glad you did.

Very smart, made me feel very comfoatble, Dr. Handelsman is very personable and friendly. She explained everything to me and helped me when nobody else would. She hit my diagnosis right on and worked with me to get me on a great path. I have to say with her help I have been able to live a normal life and not have my mental illness take over. She doesnt waste peoples time . She really takes an interest in her patients and is there to make sure you feel your best.

She gets straight to the point...No B/S...I know I seem a little off then most people bc I don't fit in their definition of normal..She treated me like a person...she listen to me without making me feel out of place then I already felt...I didn't feel like I was being judge or being label for who I am...She gets straight to the point without the b/s run around most psychiatrist play...and once you have an appointment made your in and out...
