Dr. Denise Letteriello, DO

If I didn’t like Dr. Letteriello and Mary The Nurse so much, I believe I would seek care elsewhere. Although I get quick attention for “emergencies,” It’s impossible to schedule regular physicals 12 months apart. It took me ten months to join the practice and I have had a couple of appointments cancelled. It is now 9:15 and I just had my CONFIRMED 10:15 appointment postponed. Only by having a mild telephone tantrum was I able to ensure I would be seen this month. I am not thrilled by the practice management.

My wife found Dr. Letteriello for our children and I was so impressed with her that she is now my primary for about 12 years now. I read several of the reviews and was shocked to read the two bad reviews. I myself have been impressed on how well Dr. Letteriello listens and asks questions. I have never felt rushed. My diagnosis and/or referrals to other doctors has always been spot on. As far as the 8:30 am open I have to say there are a few times that I have called and they have not picked up until about 8:45. I have had other doctors and I think she is great.

Dr. Letteriello has been my PCP for a few years. When I had my daughter and found out that she would take her as a patient I was thrilled. I didn't have many interactions with Dr. Letteriello before having my daughter (as I am relatively healthy) I thought it would be fine to bring my daughter there. However, each time I brought my newborn and then infant daughter to see her for well visits she rushed me out the door not even really allowing me to ask questions. I did not feel like she took me seriously when my daughter was sick and subsequently changed doctors. My last visit there was when they told me to give my 10 month old daughter over the counter cough medicine because she had a cold. I found a new pediatrician who diagnosed her with a severe sinus infection, gave her amoxicillin and she was immediately better within days. I would never recommend her to anyone with children. That being said, Dr. Letteriello's nurse, Mary is phenomenal and it's unfortunate that the doctor's nurse… gives better care and attention than she does.

A dr, who remembers your name, your conditions, your family. Came to see me in hospital w/other physician, unrelated to her care. Amazing! Can't say enough good things about her. Have been going there for several years.

Dr. Letteriello has been my primary care physician, as well as my daughter's, for many years. What a wonderful, caring doctor! She has known what was wrong with me when several specialists didn't. Her diagnoses are always spot on. I love the way she will sit and listen for as long as needed when I share my medical concerns with me. Yes, it's true that one may wait for 6 months to get a physical. However I always book them for the following year the day I have my annual one. When sick, she sees me the same day. I highly recommend her.

Sometimes difficult in getting appointments but I have never had a long wait once I arrived for an appointment. Dr. Letteriello listens extremely well and has always diagnosed every problem correctly. She has a great bedside manner. Originally had her for my kids and after I witnessed how great she was I switched her to my primary doctor. My wife and kids all utilize her services now.

I have rarely met a physician as caring as Dr. Letteriello (and I am crazy about Mary, the PA). It is wonderful to get follow-up phone calls from the office after a visit. I am very reluctant to say anything negative about Dr. L because I just LIKE her so much, but my daughter diagnosed two of her own chronic conditions, which blood tests affirmed. I was also steered down a wrong street, but that may have been a deliberate action on Dr. L's part to get me to take care of some business that needed taking care of.On the other hand, the office staff is marginal at best. It seems there is a bit of turnover, but whoever staffs the reception desk needs some SERIOUS re-training. The staff who takes the co-pay is fine. I hate to call, because I am ALWAYS put on hold for at least 10 minutes and the office NEVER seems to be open on time in the morning. They SAY 8:30, but it is really more like 9:15. Very frustrating.

I have referred people to Dr. Letteriello but they where dissatisfied with a 9 month wait to get a physical and the office staff are abrupt, rude talking about other patients.The phone is frequently busy with staff coming back on long holds and saying another persons name. Office staff need customer service training.
