Unprofessional, does not return phone messages, arrives late to office appointments, poor record keeping, poor follow up with other professional providers, staff is unfriendly, does not give correct information, and maintain a poor office environment.

My grandmother told me this years ago, I would be judged by the company I keep, the people I surround myself with. Dr. Smith please associate or hire people that have your best interests in mind. I don't like saying disparaging things about people, but this has got to STOP! I have been going to the Lynwood office for a while. My first visit should have been a red flag, and it was, but I ignored it. A lady was there complaining about how long she had been there, and how unprofessional the staff was. I told myself she was having a bad day. I WAS WRONG! I kept coming because I really wanted to see Dr. Smith, I like her professionalism, she was easy to talk to and seemed concerned about my health. She requested tests for me to have done, and that was a total nightmare. The authorizations needed modifying, and the person that did that or was responsible for that, could never be reached, or they didn't know when she was coming in. I would call and ask for appointments, and they didn't know… when Dr. Smith would be coming to that location, we don't have her schedule for this month was the answer I got the most. But the straw that broke the camel's back for me, was I waited over a month for test results. The day before I was scheduled for my appointment, I called and asked how long would it take for the appointment because I use Access. The person at the front desk couldn't give me a definite time. Wanted to know if I could come right then, no because you must call Access in advance. After getting no where with her, I called back and asked to speak with the office manager, well surprise of all surprised, she was there. And I must say the one or two times that I have interacted with her she was helpful. She assured me I would be out by 3:45 pm. My appointment was for 3 pm. Well, you know what happened! I got there at 2:05 pm. The sign said they were out for lunch. There was one other lady there that had an appointment for 2 pm, but they were out for lunch. At 3:15, I asked if I would be out by 3:45 and she said yes. At 3:20 I was taken back, blood pressure and weight taken. Then one of the girls says, what are you here for? I said test results, she says what test results? CT scan and cardio. She could not find the test results for the cardio. I sat there for another 10 minutes. Then I am told to go to the exam room. I sit in there until 3:40 and then after waiting until 3:40 I get up to leave. I explained that Access was coming for me and I had been told I would be out in time. I then found out Dr. Smith was not even there, and it was another doctor I would be seeing, who was on the phone with Dr. Smith. Unfortunately, for me I never got the results of the tests. Today, as I write this I am trying to reach out to the office manager, but I think probably the best thing for me to do is find another doctor. And that makes me sad!!!!
