Dr. Dennis Chong

I had pain in groin hip leg thought I might have a hernia .He said no but did not pursue as to why I had pain

I went in for an appointment I was very pleased very informative and his office staff was very polite and efficient.

Dr. Chong explained everything about the surgery and answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and made us feel very confident that we were in the right hands. The office staff was great in getting all the paperwork and scheduling done in a hurry.

Excellent doctor and great staff. Whenever I called the office I was greeted with a friendly voice.

Based on my own bad experience: After my procedure a bandaid was slapped on my incision by the doctor and i was sent off. No paper work was given to me before or after procedure, just a receipt for my payment. I was in pain the next two days as i was not given any pain medication. I now have a lumpy scar where my procedure was done . I will be going to have it looked at my another doctor. Be very direct if you use this doctor and make sure he explains what he will be doing.

I like physicians who you can tell are carefully thinking about your symptoms and measuring them against standards they have been trained in. This is Dr. Chong. I was a difficult gall bladder case in that while I failed the "hida scan" my other symptoms were lacking in some of the classic ones. Together we carefully reviewed them and he ultimately let me be the decider. At the eleventh hour I learned of a compression fracture in my back that accounted for some of my non classical pain. I spoke to Dr Chong only 1 1/2 hrs prior to my hospital report-in time to see if I should cancel. He was very understanding, allowing me (more!) time to decide to cancel if I so decided, yet helping to guide me. My ultimate surgery and recovery went so well that I went shopping the very next day! During surgery he took steps to ensure my common duct did not get cut by mistake. His office staff are also ALL outstanding. They ensured that my anesthesiologist participated in my insurance plan, unlike my GI… doc's office. They also scheduled my post surgery appointment PRIOR to surgery unlike same GI office (Shafi) who threw that need to me as I was in the recovery room :-(

First let me start by saying it takes forever to get a returned phone call. Second, the surgical coordinator(Angela) has the biggest attitude you ever run in to. She is obnoxious and insensitive and lastly they make you wait a very long time to meet with the Doctor. Now the doctor is very good but his staff is little to be desired. Dr. Chong, wake up an evaluate your office staff. They are pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
