Dr. Dennis E Hanney, DO

This office under Dr Hanney's instructions states that all their patients are elderly and wants their prescriptions filled by their PCP only.I called there several times for refills on my meds with no return calls.Several attempts later the nurse's assistant stated that she begged the clinic nurse to fill my script, on my next refill I again called and left several messages with no return call backs.I called my PCP and he filled it this time but stated that doctors are supposed to fill their own scripts as they are the cardiologists and need to monitor their own patients.When hanney's office finally called back the clinic nurse confirmed this.I asked why they never return calls,she had no answer. I asked several doctors why anyone would have these kinds of policies.Most stated that the office may be trying to shift the liability to someone else,may be short handed or save money on staff.I think maybe all three.I have never heard of any doctors office NOT filling their own scripts
