Dr. Dennis Ray Hartung, MD

Dr Hartung is truly the greatest! I found him when I was 38 weeks with a breech baby, considering doing a vaginal breech birth. The current dr I was seeing in the TC said it was too dangerous to do a version but Dr Hartung felt very comfortable and confident in it. He successfully flipped my baby & I delivered naturally with him a couple weeks later. He is so genuine, calming and makes you feel so powerful. So smart and skilled. One of a kind.

Dr. Hartung was the most amazing Doctor I was able to come into contact with when it came to my 3rd child being breech. He was kind and patient and understanding of my drive to delivery vaginally a breech baby. As I was told he is one of very few Drs that still do breech births and deliver vaginal breech babies successfully. It was an honor to have him do my c-section while he was at Abbott in MN. I was sad to find he has moved to Baldwin, WI because I may need another c-section (5th child) and wanted him to be the one to perform the surgery. I trust him and his opinion fully and feel nothing but confidence in his abilities and would be comfortable putting my life and my babies life in his hands again!

I would rate zero. He said I needed a hysterectomy and noone would do anything else because my fibroids were to big. I went to another Dr and She took out only my fibroids. He wouldn't give me a Dr note

He is an amazing doctor! Made my childbirth experience easy and fantastic!!!

He is an awesome OB doctor who knows what he is talking about and does excellent work!

Dr. Hartung is hands down the best in the area and quite likely one of the best in the country. He practices evidence based medicine, is exceedingly knowledgable about birth and pregnancy, cares for his patients, and is overall fantastic! Every ob/gyn should emulate Dr. Hartung.

Dr. Hartung delivered both of my babies, and both times, the care I received during my pregnancy and during delivery were above and beyond what I expected. My wishes were given top priority, he assured me that he always delivers "his" babies -I didn't have to worry that I'd have a stranger deliver my child at the last minute. He remembered amazing details about my medical history without it being right in front of him (including exactly how many pounds I had gained during my pregnancy, and how many minutes my previous child's delivery took.) I always felt extremely well taken care of, and cared for as a person, while under his charge. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Dr. Hartung was wonderful to work with. I had a VBAC with my second child and Dr. Hartung was my delivering doctor. He was very reassuring, helpful, and considerate of my wishes. I knew that my son and I were in good hands. I would HIGHLY recommend this doctor.I have never had a better experience with and OB/GYN.

I would not recommend any other doctor at Hudson Physicians for OB. He delivered my baby in 08 and it was the greatest experience. He always fit me in to his schedule, answered my questions promptly, made me feel comfortable and relaxed. During delivery he stayed at the hospital after clinic hours and made it the most calming experience. Wonderful doctor!
