Dr. Dennis Elwood Johnson, MD

Each time I had an appointment with Dr. Johnson, he only wanted to talk about the shirt I was wearing (brand), and about the book I was reading that I brought in with me to read while waiting. On last visit, he kept my wife and I waiting over an hour in the room. When we finally left the WHOLE office staff was gone for the end of the day. He took me off my meds and I quickly went into Atrial Fibrillation for extended amounts of time. I transferred to Dr. at USC/Keck in LA and they put me on the table quickly to do a necessary ablation to solve the A-Fib. Granted traveling to LA is somewhat inconvenient. But the care has been FAR superior, including all specialties I need to see, along with all staffs and coordinators. I have even had hematologist come in on his day off to consult with me for an HOUR, trying to help. They ALL listen extremely well there. NOT here in Visalia. I had one doctor leave the room after 45 seconds, thinking he was done. I tell my experiences with… doctors here with the ones I now see at USC/Keck and they can't believe it. My cardiologist in LA is SO good at listening and truly tries to help. No comparison.

If you have to wait because someone else was critical you will receive the same courtesy. He will be there for you.

Dr Johnson is clearly focused on each patient as if they were his only patient. He gives clear and explicit information. His manner in the office and bedside is caring and kind and he LISTENS to each concern. He displays high integrity, expertise at every encounter and gives the patient and family confident advice and hope in each situation.. he's quick yet thorough. At each appointment he gives the patient explicit, written directions and a synopsis of each visit. Our family has been with Dr Johnson for over 25 years and have ALWAYS been grateful for his inclusion into our every cardiology need. Thank you Dr. Johnson, from the bottom of our hearts.

Dr Johnson is great DR you can understand him and he gives you attention.
