Dr. Dennis Dewayne Mccoy, MD

Doctor McCoy is and has been the greatest most thorough doctor I have ever encountered in my lifetime!! He is above and beyond the 5 star rating!!! He takes time to share his knowledge and explain even to a dumb person like me!!! If you have pain issues, he is the doctor to visit.. He will go deep and reveal possibilities that only a few doctors will!!! I say this thru experience I have had for 2 years now, He is thorough in every aspect of pain and how it works, how it traverses from elbow to hip,or neck to butt-ox... I truly acknowledge Doctor McCoy as a true doctor with TRUE results!!! I give him great results in understanding, listening, and the best advice!!! even to a person like me, hard headed and stubborn...

Insurance now days is ridiculous. Like dr Mccoy and Dr Bridgewater, I had a nerve block 2014, was working but now need another but insurance won't approve without Cat scan and they won't approve without therapy. There's no therapy for my problem. Choices pain or drugs. If the insurance would let them do what they want to do and need to do. It would be awesome. Their staff is getting better too. There was a time that they couldn't seem to communicate with each other when I called. If I was just rating the Dr, I would give him an excellent. Very caring and listens to me.

My mother in law has been seeing Dr. McCoy for a while now and raves about him. When my last pain doctor passed away, I scheduled to see Dr. McCoy. They took my copayment, I did all kinds of paperwork, then did the urine screen. Dr. McCoy finally got around to me, opened my file, then proceeded to head to the door saying they aren't taking other docs patients even if they are deceased! A month later I got my Medicare statement and they had the gall to run my urine screen anyways to the tune of $800!! Be forewarned before scheduling with him!!

Doc mcoy would listen to what I had to say and they ask me if I was taking meds that wasnt prescribed to me getting me mixed up with someone else and then telling me I failed my drug test when I know for a fact I wasn't just a drug dealer with a license to sell

Dr. McCoy is the kindest Dr. I have ever seen. If I have something bothering me he gets me in right away. The staff is great and friendly. Would recommend to anyone who needs pain management. Me and my husband are patients of Dr. Dennis McCoy.

Even though my neurosurgeon has been completely unconcerned about me or my back, Mr McCoy has been a God send. I have been seeing him for over five years and most of the time he has spent more time with me than any other doctor has. There's been times he has spent over an hour with me. He listens to me more than any other doctor has ever listened to me. There's been times he has been rushed, but he's more than made up for it. He's explained every procedure and every medication. His nurses and lab technicians are always professional and caring. They rarely let me sit and wait. The only complaint I have is the receptionist is often hateful, uncaring, unprofessional, and darn right rude. She needs training in how to deal with patients dealing with pain. I have been told by several of the other staff that they hear complaints about her, but nothing is ever done. If you can deal with her though, you will be getting one of the best doctors in the mid-south.

This doctor is very unprofessional! They keep you waiting for almost an hour and the actual visit turns out to be about 5 minutes. There is no concern for the patient and their needs. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. They treat people like addicts, come in wait an hour, get your prescription and leave. Don't ask questions because he does't know!
