Dr. Dennis Paul Mishler, MD

Dennis P Mishler has been my Transplant Nephrologist for nearly sixteen years and has overseen my care through two kidney transplants and several years of dialysis. He is professional and yet down to earth with a great sense of humor. I am also nurse and have the utmost respect for and confidence in his skill level. I am grateful to have him on my medical care team. He is consistently on time and I have never left a visit without having all of my questions answered and concerns addressed.

Doctor Mishler is very thorough and on top of things. He also has a great sense of humor and is very encouraging. I am a kidney transplant patient and am very pleased with him and what he does for me. Highly thought of by me and my family.

Dr. Mishler is very knowledgeable but he is also funny and is always cracking me up. He takes time to listen to me as if I was his only patient for the day.

Disclosure: I am a retired nephrologist.I met Dr. Mishler when, after two years of hemodialysis, I was offered a donor kidney. I found Dennis to be a truly humane and caring physician as we discussed the fact that the kidney was a very bad tissue match for me; he did not try to influence my choice. It was mine only to make. I was 70 y/o at the time and since the organ was not a better match for anyone else, I accepted it. I had also decided that of the transplant nephrologists on staff there, it would be Dennis I would ask to care for me. I'm nine years into it, and he still is one of my favorite people, whom I respect greatly for his medical skills. He's almost as good as I was.

He's a pretty good guy and seems to take the time to address my issues and concerns. He does tend to ramble a lot, but it's always usefull information

Hospitalitis is not the same as kidney rejection! Lazy doctor syndrome was more like it. I have the right to have a doctor who performs in a professional manner and not minimalize my health issues.
