Dr. Dennis James Perry, MD

Dr. Dennis Perry has been my primary healthcare provider for more than a decade. He and the nurses who work with him at the Okemos McLaren medical center are consummate professionals who clearly are committed to providing their patients with consistently excellent up-to-date medical care and advice. I couldn’t ask for a more knowledgeable, conscientious, articulate, and compassionate ”family physician” than Dr. Perry. He has helped me with several medical issues, and typically his expert diagnoses and treatment plans have been prescient and responsive to my concerns. Put more simply, rather than focusing only on data from medical equipment, blood tests. X-rays, etc., Dr. Perry takes time to listen carefully to what I have to say about my medical problems and then to ask me questions about them. And sometimes he will give me an impromptu mini tutorial on a disease or syndrome, current relevant research, and treatment options. But when he’s not sure what might be causing or how best to… treat a problem, Dr. Perry isn’t reluctant to recommend specialists for me to see. Because I’ve not been seen by any of the other physicians or by either of the physician’s assistants at McLaren’s Okemos medical center, I have no basis on which to evaluate the quality of their work. However, I have found all of the members of the Okemos center’s front office staff, who handle appointments, billing, and insurance matters, to be friendly, helpful, and reliable. And, thankfully, everyone associated with this center seems to be taking seriously the guidelines for stopping the spread of COVID-19. My rating: FIVE STARS, with no hesitation! - Charles H. Before moving out of state, Dr. Perry was our family physician. I’ve been gone 10 years, and still judge every new doc I see based on how they compare to him. No one comes close. Dr. Perry is not only a great physician, he has the added qualities of great compassion and the true ability to listen to his patients.

Dr. Perry has been our family Doctor for over 20 years. He is kind, thoughtful, an excellent listener and diagnostician. He cares about his patients as complete human beings. He is by far the best medical practitioner in the area.

Dr. Perry has been our family doctor since taking over the practice more then 20 years ago. He is an excellent person/doctor and is usually right on with a diagnosis. He is a hard worker, devoted to his profession and his patients as well as his family.

I have seen Dr Perry for over 10 yrs and he has been exceptional in care and treatment. Great manor of communication and warm friendly service of all the staff. Won't find a better doctor.

I wasn't a patient of Dr. Perry's, but I did an intership with some of the Nurses there, so I worked directly with him. I was very impressed by the wonderful patience and willingnes to teach me while I was there learning about the office. He is a great listener to his patients and staff. but most importantly a wonderful doctor. Many of his pateints are life time patients that really value him as a friend and a Doctor. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a caring, honest, SMART Doctor such as himself. I hope this helps.
