I had all of my upper teeth pulled yesterday. I thought I’d have pain today but nope. Thank You Dr Pettit and stand for being so patient and kind yesterday. Great job!!

I called to explain my situation after speaking with my HEALTH insurance about needing a tooth pulled. Pettit’s staff confirmed they could file thru my health insurance. I showed up for the procedure & again explained the situation & the need to file under HEALTH insurance. I was again told it wasn’t a problem, so my tooth was extracted. I went to pay & was advised there is a 4% charge for credit card- something I feel they should tell people before their appointment but that’s another complaint. I paid my the amount Pettit’s staff said was my deductible, thinking that was it. I then get a call from Pettit’s staff a few days later saying they would not file thru my HEALTH insurance without a report from a doctor - such as the Emergency Room because Pettit couldn’t verify I was hit in the mouth by a dog. I explained I already had a conversation with my insurance & they said to file it this way but he refused saying insurance won’t pay. Why didn’t they say this during the first two… conversations before the procedure. Bottom line.... my opinion it’s all about the money for them. They told me twice before the procedure they would file thru my insurance then after the procedure refused to do so, I’m guessing because insurance would make them write more off. As far as the 4% charge for credit cards...why not give this info to new customers when you send them the questionnaire or when they call to set up an initial appt.

Dr Pettit pulled two of my teeth at different times. One was a molar and the other a wisdom tooth. I have nothing but praise for him and his staff. He did an excellent job and I had no problems. The staff was helpful and caring.

I was referred there to my dentist for a tooth extraction and when I get my bill, I have a $90.00 consultation fee. There was no consultation done I was a referral for a tooth extraction. The doctor came in, looked at my tooth and made sure that the tooth he was looking at was the one that was going to get extracted, gave me a few shots to numb me up, let the room for about 5 minutes, came back and took another 1-2 minutes to pull my tooth and that was it! So, I called and talked to them about this and they proceed to tell me that it's really an "examination" fee. The billing person tells me that "you need to pay for Dr. Pettit's time since he looks at your health history, does an examination and this also covers the people up front who takes your information". Then she lets me talk to their office manager who explains the same thing and also added, "They always charge this for any new patient". Really? You charge $90.00 for simply glancing over the paperwork I completed, making… sure that the tooth he was going to pull was the one he numbed up and for the office people that need to put the information in the computer? Plus, of course, there is also an extraction fee, which I am OK with but to pad the bill $90.00 just to cover their overhead, is completely ridiculous in my opinion! I figured that maybe after I talked to them that they would be like "Well, let me see if we can do anything for you" but instead I got the "You've got to pay for the doctor's time and that's the bill" attitude. I will NEVER go back to this doctor and I would strongly recommend no one else does either! Oh, and if you pay with a credit card, they charge you an additional 4%! Heaven forbid they actually pay ANYTHING for the normal cost of doing business! I believe the most I've ever seen a credit card company charge is 3% and that was for an American Express credit card, so they are now MAKING money for a person to use their credit card! The final note about this practice is on their website where is states at the very top, "Kindness, compassion & respect". Yep, as long as you pay their ridiculous prices! Again, this place is a joke!!!!

I got all four of my wisdom teeth removed today. Dr. Pettit is the FIRST doctor that has not hurt me or missed my vain when inserting an IV. I was put under because my family thought it would be best. It was not stressful, the staff was friendly, the environment was comfortable and Dr. Pettit was VERY FAST! In and out of there in approx 1 hour and the surgery only took like 30 minutes for all four teeth! My jaw does hurt this afternoon but pain medicine, ice cream, icing my jaw and resting has been very good. ?? recommend Dr. Pettit.

He's the best surgeon.... So kind and compassionate. He even called after my husband's surgery to check on him. He's warm and personable. We highly recommend him.

Dr. Pettit is the best in his field, does fantastic work and is always friendly and willing to listen to your concerns.My experience with his office staff and assistants has also been excellent. Ihave been treated at the Springfield office. WELL DONE, DR. PETTIT!!

Girlfriend recently had her wisdom teeth taken out. She was still experiencing a lot of pain and discomfort a few days after the surgery so she called the office just to ask some questions and make sure everything was ok. The lady who answered the phone was less than helpful, could not answer any questions or find someone who could answer questions, and had a very apathetic attitude. Was very displeased at the utter lack of customer service, not to mention compassion or caring, that one might expect from a medical professional and/or their associates. 2 weeks after her surgery, she had gotten an infection and urgently needed help. When she called the office to set up a meeting as per Dr. Pettit's instructions, she was again met with the same lazy and rude attitude from the lady on the phone. I understand having a bad day, but providing this poor of service is absolutely unacceptable. I would recommend seeking help elsewhere as this office's staff is incredibly unprofessional.… You are better off going literally anywhere else.

Very caring and personable. Quick extraction and painless except numbing shots. Healed quickly with no issues
