Dr. Shanning helped my family tremendously in the late 80s, treating my child briefly and successfully and then couples counseling. He saw me privately for a brief time, but I still think of him and remember many of the valuable things he said and how he listened and guided me in making my own decisions during a tough time. It’s 30 years later and all’s well that ends well. I’m truly grateful for his words and wisdom. :)

We used Dr. Shaning for parenting evaluation, which turned out to be such a horrible decision. He has a history and clear tendency of giving the primary custody to the mother, so please be aware of this. The report he wrote was so unprofessional, speculative and self-contradicting. The report was so bad, that the other party could not really use it for the trial although it was in their favor.
