Dr. Dennis Sparks, MD

I am very happy with Dr. Sparks. He takes time to talk with you and is helping me with some issues. I would recommend him and team.

Very bad experience. Cancelled my appointment without notice after I showed up at the office “we are not seeing patients that might be sick”. I understand the need to protect oneself, however for a doctor to refuse to see patients in this health care situation is preposterous. They are not getting my business and probably should not get yours.

I don't write reviews. However my experience at Dr.Sparks was so horrific I've decided to comment. This man is rude and course. He's very unfriendly, cold and weird. He didn't send in my prescriptions as we discussed and when I called the office, his wife was extremely rude and unprofessional. I assure you that most any other doctor in Louisville had to be better than this racket. I'm so sickened and regretful to have wasted my time. I've never had a positive experience but this last visit was the final straw. Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this man. He doesn't make eye contact, doesn't say hello or even good bye. It's very, very uncomfortable. His wife is a true nut job. A friend of mine had suggested my orginal appointment because I needed to be seen that day. They had warned me to use him as a last resort. I'm suggesting he's not even worth a last resort. BEWARE!!

I’ve been a long time patient of Dr. Sparks. Visited him a little over a year ago to look at my foot. No issue with the foot but within 12 hours he diagnosed me with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Bone marrow specialist at U of L said that maybe 1 in 10,000 general practitioners would be smart enough to catch that and if Dr. Sparks had not, I would have died within 2 weeks (stage 4 no symptoms). 14 months later I’m cancer free, healthy, fit and very much alive. I owe my life to Dr. Sparks. What else can I say but...Thank you sir!!!

no longer a doctor just a business

I think Dr. Sparks is a terrific doctor. He's very kind, caring, competent and he listens. I am a relatively new patient having been treated at his office on four different occasions but they worked me in on the first visit the same day I called. I had an upper respiratory infection and I was grateful to be seen so quickly. I would led definitely recommend Dr. Sparks. I gave four stars for promptness but they had to work me in, so that was to be expected.

Dr. Sparks is cold, hard, and pitiless. He has the bedside manner of a rattlesnake. He made me feel talked-down to, criticized, and judged. Zero sympathy from him, zero compassion. His staff is chaotic and disorganized, wait times are egregious, and time with the doctor is less than 5 minutes. Not that you'd want to be with him any longer than that. Dr. Sparks held hostage a refill request on a prescription--one he had prescribed me for some of my issues, no less--to coerce me to make a checkup appointment. I will never go back.

Dr Sparks is wonderful, but if you're want a great staff to go along with that great Dr, forget about going here

Dr. Sparks is the best doctor I have ever seen. He is caring and will not stop until you are well! I was misdiagnosed for a year with gallbladder issues and one look at me and he knew what was wrong and had me to a surgeon and on the road to recovery in just days. I live in Frankfort but drive to Louisville to see Dr. Sparks!
