Meet Dr. Dennis Thomas
I absolutely love my job! I loved it over three decades ago on my very first day and I still love it today. What I truly love the most about my job is the opportunity I have been given to truly transform peoples lives and to put a genuine smile on their face, especially when their eyes light up and their face is filled with joy, a deep joy that comes from deep in their soul... the kind of joy that breaks into a big, beautiful smile when they see themselves in the mirror. It is not really a job, it is a passion for using my God given gifts and skills in serving our friends with what they desire or need from the wide variety of services that we provide for our patients.
Education and Continuing Education
Life is all about learning, and that is my passion! I attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. I have also attended the Northern California Institute of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Great …Lakes Educational Center for Graduate CEREC Studies, and the Swissedent Foundation.
I strive to be on the edge of my seat to learn all I can in order to facilitate providing gentle dental care to all of my patients so they may be healthy to the core, have total function in order to stay healthy, and maintain a natural, youthful smile for their entire life. I am a member of the Invisalign GP Forum, Invisalign Costa Rica Study Club, Pacific Coast Integrated Seminars and Study Club, and the Invisalign Santa Clara Study Club. My patients are truly blessed by receiving dental care at this time in history.
Our Team
Our team just loves getting the opportunity to share in transformational care of our patients. The staff is always eager to participate in continuing education growth, even when it is in the evening after a full day at the office. We are very professional about the dental services we provide, but our hearts are bubbling over with the joy and blessing of being involved in our patients’ care. We invite those with smiles that seem beyond hope to come and allow us to share how we can have a joyous transforming experience together. Give us a chance to love the heck out of you!
In the Community
Over the last eight years, I have been learning and teaching at the Institute of Biblical Studies, which is the adult studies program through Abundant Life Christian Fellowship. Additionally, over the last several years we have enjoyed participating in Compassion Weekends through Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in connection with World Vision where we put together, package, and prepare for shipment kits for Africa for the World Vision trained aids workers.
Outside the Office
I have lived in the beautiful state of California since I was three years old. My wife, Kathi, and I are empty nesters with two grown sons and a silver-point Balinese named Elsa. Our eldest son, Trent, is beginning his career in teaching with Challenger Schools. Our youngest son, Tyson, is currently in the dental field and serves as a clinical coordinator for the office. I am an avid student and disciple of the book of truth, the Bible, and spend many joyous hours of study and preparation for everything from formal classes to small group experiences. I also enjoy the blessings of our wonderful area, from our beautiful coast to walking in the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains.
