Dr. Denver Bennett Cornett, MD

My child had an sick appointment with Dr. Cornett and he was only given a cough and allergy medication. I had to call back to the office to request that my child get a antibiotic, and inform that the cough and allergy medication will not help with the virus he has that was causing vomiting, coughing, fever, and running nose. Dr. Cornett wanted to argue with me and I had to numerously inform him that my child had already been on allergy and cough medication for 3 weeks prior to the appointment and they were not working. After 10 minutes of the back and forth he finally said he would send the medication to my pharmacy. But he need to know where to send the medication. I had to informed him that the information need is in my child chart and he then replied he didn't have the chart pulled up. So how can you provide me with medication information or a treatment plan if you don't even have the information need available at the time of the call. Needless to say it was the worse experience I… have had with this office and my children had attended here for over 7 years. Oh and after being on the antibiotic for 3 days the virus started flushing from his body by way of his eye. (Which proves there was infection present). I will never schedule with him again. Thankful that I'm a nurse and was persistent about my child care.
