Dr. Depak Soni, MD

A patient-centric, thorough doctor. I have seen Dr. Soni for years and have always received excellent care and excellent results from his care. I have also recommended him to friends who have expressed similar opinions.

I was introduced by Dr. Soni via hospital admission. He is the first there in the morning to check on his patients. He and his partners come in prepared and family with patients illness, progress and treatment plan. I’ve had an amazing experience and will recommend this doctor.

This is a doctor who did not talk to patient nor family member before or after an operation. delivered very bad news over the phone and refused request for a 15 minutes consulting session because he is 'too busy'

Dr. Soni and staff have provided excellent care for a spectrum of conditions including asthma, bronchitis/pneumonia, sleep apnea, and pulmonary embolisms over the past 12 years. He advocates for you with insurance, takes his time to answer questions and always projects a positive attitude. Wish more doctors and their staff operated half as well.

He dismissed my concerns. He did not explain my diagnosis. He did not acknowledge the difficulties in have severe medical issues and the importance of the compassion required from your doctor. He did not follow-up. The appointment lasted for maybe 7 minutes.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Soni- wish more doctors were like him!

Dr. Soni is exceptionally attentive and caring. I don't know that I have ever been to a doctor who is willing to spend as much time with a patient trying to understand their concerns and explaining the science behind his thoughts and recommendations as Dr. Soni is. I have been to see him four times over three years and he has never ceased to impress me. I would very highly recommend him to anyone.

disappointed with his in-hospital care, we felt he used an almost-patronizing tone of voice me when asked him questions upon initial consultation regarding my critically ill family member thus leaving us feeling as if he did not treat me nor my family member with respect despite us having some knowledge of the situation, unclear if standard of care was following with my family member however to me it did not appear so, never spoke personally with us regarding severity of condition despite nursing staff alluding that he would return after rounds, was unable to answer our questions, thus he appeared to have a weak fund of knowledge during our brief conversation which was unfortunate given his training was reputed to be good, was uninformed about my family member's illness, unclear if he communicated his recommendations with other physicians involved in the care, overall suboptimal medical care, did not appear to exercise enough compassion in his dealings with us, had to involve upper… level hospital management in order to have decisions made and actions taken for my family member, overall very dissatisfied and sad that our experience was so poor in his care

Dr. Soni is an excellent physician. I have unusual health problems and Dr. Soni is the only doctor who was willing to put in the time and effort to really listen and think outside the box in coming up with a treatment plan for me. I'd be a mess without him.
